SLFA Scholarships Available

The Saint Lucia Football Association Inc. is once again providing scholarships to deserving students who live in Saint Lucia.
To this end they have sent out application forms to their affiliates to be completed and submitted no later than Wednesday 18 August 2021.
The Scholarship will take the form of a one-time bursary not exceeding $600.00.
Persons wishing to be considered for scholarships must meet the following criteria;
a. Must be a player with a club registered in FIFA Connect,
b. Must be a player registered in FIFA Connect,
c. Must prove that his financial situation possess serious challenge to him/her in the quest in accessing an education,
d. Must show proof that the current grades have been consistently good,
e. The Player must indicate their FIFA Connect ID Number on the application Form
The completed application form can be sent to the Association by email at gensec.slfa@gmail.com or at the office of the Saint Lucia Football Association in La Clery, Castries in a sealed envelope addressed to the General Secretary, Saint Lucia Football Association Inc.
The SLFA Inc. would like to suggest to the leagues that they ensure that their youth players are nominated for the scholarship programme. Coaches should be able to help identify deserving players to be nominated.
Meanwhile, the SLFA Inc./Scott’s Sports and Awards Club Championships being played under the Theme Lets Kick Covid Out continues with lots of Intrigue and excitement as the final rounds beckons.
Platinum continues to dominate the Premier Division with a runaway 21 points. In second spot is Monchy United on 16 followed by GMC 13 and Northern United 12.
Heading the leader board is Gregson President of Platinum with 5 goals, followed by Sherwin Simon Northern United, Tremain Paul Uptown Rebels, Tev Lawrence Monchy, and Lamar Serieux Ti Rocher with 4 goals each.
The Division 2 competition is headed by New Generation with 15 points, followed by BI FC 11 points and National U 20 on 10 with two games in hand. Togetherness Youth are fourth also with 10 points.
The leading goal scorer is Keegan Caul of U 20 with 10. He is followed by Shervon Eleuthere of with RV Juniors 7, Bobby Emmanuel Victory Eagles of and Yanic Noel New Generation of with 5 each.
