GEW 2020; A Virtual Series!

From Monday 16th November 2020 to Sunday 22nd November 2020, St. Lucia will join the rest of the world in commemorating the 13th anniversary of Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW).
GEW is the world’s largest celebration of innovators and job creators, who launch startups that bring ideas to life, drive economic growth and expand human welfare. Each November, during one week, entrepreneurs and innovators around the world celebrate with activities designed to bring like-minded people together! This year’s celebration will be under the theme #GEWInclusion.
The St. Lucia Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Agriculture is proud to be part of this global entrepreneurship movement. As the host organization, the Chamber continues on its mandate to provide platforms for aspiring young entrepreneurs who will launch startups that bring ideas to life, foster economic prosperity and job creation.
Friday tomorrow will see the official launch of the 2020 Intuit Innovation Challenge. Formerly known as the DECA Idea Challenge, the challenge affords students across the island and around the world to transform the identified mystery item into a useful product.
The Chamber is pleased to announce the hosting of its virtual series for GEW 2020. In our efforts to remain compliant and adherent to national protocols and safety guidelines, the Chamber, together with its partner organizations has chosen to fashion all activities into virtual sessions. The weeklong series will feature experienced and well-informed individuals who have an appreciation for the initiative that is GEW and understand how it fits into the Chamber’s overriding aim of creating avenues for young entrepreneurs.

Monday 16th November, 2020 – How To Attract The Attention of Investors with Mr. Ged Alexander, Founder and CEO of Shela Pitch
Tuesday 17th November, 2020 – Virtual “Sit Down” with Get In The Ring St. Lucia 2020 Finalists
Wednesday 18th November, 2020 – Your Health, “Your Business” with Dr. Blayne Bacchus of the St. Lucia Medical and Dental Association
Thursday 19th November, 2020 – Who Are You? The Dynamics of Business vs. Branding with Ms. Louise Victor, Chief Brand Strategist of Oceans Brand Consulting
Thursday 19th November, 2020 – Online Business, E-Commerce and a Digital Currency presented by Boost Saint Lucia.
